On
Tuesday, October 19, 2004, the WWE™ presents a very special RAW™
only Pay-Per-View called "Taboo Tuesday".
This will be the first ever interactive Pay-Per-View, where
the fans get to make all of the decisions.
It is not up to Eric Bischoff, the General Manager of RAW™,
or the wrestlers themselves. It
will be the fans that will decide the Superstars' fate at
"Taboo Tuesday".
The
WWE™ is trying to see if this will work.
They want to determine if fans will be interested in ordering
a Pay-Per-View held on a weekday.
This will be the first test to see if this will work or not.
The
Pay-Per-View is scheduled to take place at the Bradley Centre in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The
way this process will work is that the fans will vote on the
stipulations for the matches that will take place at "Taboo
Tuesday". The RAW™
fans can either vote by phone or on the Internet starting October
18, 2004 and will continue during the Pay-Per-View.
The fans decisions will then be implemented in the
Pay-Per-View.
Also,
the fans will have an opportunity to vote on who the World
Heavyweight Champion will wrestle for the Title, as well as who will
wrestle for the Intercontinental Championship.
The
Champions are Triple H and Chris Jericho.
Triple H has three potential challengers. The fans will vote on one of them to wrestle him for the
World Heavyweight Championship.
The
three challengers are Chris Benoit, Edge and Shawn Michaels. However,
Jericho will have about fifteen possible challengers listed on the
ballot and the fans will choose one from that list.
This
will be an exciting time for the WWE™, in that they are putting
all the power into the fans' hands for the first time.
The
WWE™ state they are giving the fans what they want every week.
They care what the fans want, so this is a new opportunity to
make the fans feel more involved in the decision making process.
The fans will pick what they want for stipulations and who
they want to see wrestle for the top two Titles on RAW™.
This
has never been done before and it is a revolutionary idea from the
WWE™.
Right
now, not many matches have been finalized and it seems that the WWE™
are going to leave it to the fans to make the matches at the
Pay-Per- View. The live
fans in attendance at "Taboo Tuesday" in Milwaukee will
also play a key role in the decision making process.
It
is a win-win situation for the WWE™ RAW™ Superstars and for the
RAW™ fans.
This
is one Pay-Per-View that hopefully the fans will be very satisfied
seeing, since they will play a key role in all the matches, the
stipulations and the various Titles the RAW™ Superstars hold.
It
will certainly be an exciting night for everyone involved. This may result in the WWE™ making similar Pay-Per-Views in
the future and creating more fan involvement in RAW™ and the WWE™.
I
am certainly looking forward to this Pay-Per-View and I think that
it will be an unpredictable night for everyone.
